Many people today face the overwhelming task of sorting through all the things we’ve collected and inherited throughout our lives. We know it’s impossible to keep all of it forever, but increasingly family members say they don’t want more stuff. What do we keep, how do we care for it, and what should we do if no one wants it?
I’m heading to the beautiful Reeves Victorian Home and Carriage House Museum in Dover, Ohio for a teatime program on Sunday, March 15th to help folks get a handle on their collection conundrums. I will share tips for documenting details that make an item special and offer suggestions on sharing family history that resonates with the next generation.
