Unsure of how to begin organizing, assessing, or transitioning the collections of artwork, antiques, and heirlooms in your home? This package is for you! During a 2-hour consultation, Jennifer will share insights about scarcity, condition, value and the state of the current market, and offer ideas for transitioning pieces to the next generation, leaving you with the tools and tasks to take the next steps towards achieving your collection management goals.
Artwork, antiques, and heirlooms are touchstones that last through generations, but how do we make the connection to younger family members? We've developed custom tools to bridge the gap and will work with you to identify the right individual or institutional match for your collected treasures. Research and documentation of significant pieces, production of a "legacy list" and up to three in-home consultations are all part of this package. Transitions are hard, so let a knowledgeable specialist help you plan for a better outcome.
Cabinets, and closets, and curios… Oh, my! Where to begin, how to proceed, who will take it, and when will we ever finish? Don’t make Mom and Dad tackle this task alone. Jennifer can walk them through a process that feels manageable and gets the job done. Preparing to move a lifetime's worth of mementos, antiques, and family heirlooms from multiple generations can be overwhelming to the point of inaction. We will work with you to get the process rolling. Two onsite consultations, family history and transition tools, resale and appraiser recommendations, and development of a timeline that works to accommodate intergenerational goals are all part of this package.
Relocating artworks and antiques puts them at risk. Even if pieces are staying in the family, provenance information needs to travel with your treasures. New owners need to know what they are receiving, why it matters, and how best to care for it. Protect your investment by putting a curator in charge of the list of what goes where. As part of this package, we will produce professional condition reports, compile necessary insurance documentation, and recommend experienced art handlers to conduct the move. Jennifer will act as an advocate and concierge for your objects, coordinating paperwork and personnel to make your collection transition anxiety-free.
Are you acquiring artwork and building a collection as part of your overall investment portfolio? Do you have diverse works in different media throughout your home or office?
